A large, diverse group of men, women and children pose in front of the White House in Washington, D.C. under a bright but cloudy sky. They are dressed for cold weather in warm, casual clothes. Leafless trees and well-maintained lawns surround the White House.

REGISTER NOW: One Rb World 2026, San Antonio, Texas!

Register announcement for the One Rb World 2026 conference. A playful banner of brightly coloured squares spells out: REGISTER NOW, over a vibrant night-time view of the San Antonio River Walk. Logo text reads: One Retinoblastoma World | San Antonio, Texas, September 12–14, 2026. Between the location and date, a small brick red quatrefoil outlined in white and clay pink features a sky blue horseshoe with white nail heads along the curve cupping a white lone star. The main conference logo features a target-like eye graphic with brightly coloured concentric rings surrounding a pearlescent circle, with a strand of DNA in the inner-most ring. In the background, festive San Antonio lights are strung across trees and buildings, all reflecting on the water. Colourful umbrellas and tables line the River Walk, evoking a cheerful, lively atmosphere.

Saturday 12 – Monday 14 September, 2026 | San Antonio.

One Rb World 2026 welcomes retinoblastoma patients, survivors, family members, medical professionals, and scientists to share three full days of programming, community and collaboration in the Lone Star State.

The 8th One Rb World Conference will take place before the 58th International Society of Paediatric Oncology (SIOP) World Congress, which will be held in San Antonio, 15-18 September 2026.

We recognize our 2026 conference falls during Rosh Hashanah, and we apologize for any conflicts this may create.  We hope many in our community will still be able to participate, and we remain committed to making the conference as accessible and inclusive as possible.

As well as valuable presentations and panel discussions, join us in-person for round-table discussions, relaxed networking, and memorable social activities at this unique national and global Rb event.  As always, we’ll have a full program of child life activities for Rb patients, young survivors, their siblings, and the children of survivors and speakers.

You’ll find a very warm welcome with us in San Antonio, where we’ll advance patient-centred care and research for all together.

Our Global Community United at One Rb World 2024 in Hawaii!

A lively group of around 60 people gather in front of two trolley buses from E Noa Tours. Scenic mountains rise in the background. The group, diverse in age and background, is smiling, laughing, and making the friendly shaka hand sign. Many are wearing colorful leis, headbands, and sunglasses, adding to the joyful, celebratory vibe.

WE C Hope USA was honored to host the 7th One Rb World meeting, October 15-17 in Honolulu, Hawaii and online, right before the International Society of Paediatric Oncology’s 56th World Congress.

Uniting families, survivors, medical professionals and scientists from across the USA and the wortd, we shared knowledge and lived experience, strengthened our global community, developed collaborations to advance acute and lifelong care, and access to care, for all.

Our Vision and Mission

Retinoblastoma is an aggressive eye cancer affecting babies and young children.

Retinoblastoma is highly curable, and 90% of children survive in the USA. Globally, 80% of children die – 7,000 children every year. Most children die in developing countries due to lack of awareness and poor access to timely, appropriate medical care.

Around the world, most children who are cured have one eye surgically removed to protect their life, and some lose both eyes.  Many children whose eyes are saved suffer severe or complete, irreversible loss of sight.

Our Vision: Life and sight for every child!

Many precious young lives and sight will be saved by increasing awareness, access to existing treatments, evidence based care and compassionate family support.

We are committed to bringing these opportunities to every child with retinoblastoma across the USA and around the world, and ending needless suffering from this curable cancer.

Our Mission

Every child deserves the best opportunities to overcome cancer, and to have a good quality of life beyond cure or when cure is not possible.  We bring those opportunities to children and adult survivors around the world by:

Educating the public and primary health workers about retinoblastoma to achieve early diagnosis and rapid referral to specialist care;

Empowering the medical community to deliver sustainable high quality evidence-based care that gives each child and adult survivor the best possible opportunities;

Enabling family support programs that reduce practical, emotional, financial and social burdens and improve access to essential care.

We work from grassroots to national level, empowering communities and medical teams to vault many different challenges so each child can receive best possible care.  We encourage families, survivors, the eye care and cancer communities, imaging industry, health care policymakers and researchers to be active leaders in developing high quality sustainable care.

We unite and inspire our supporters to champion every child’s right to special protection, quality medical care and good health, survival and dignity, love and understanding.

With your help, we can ensure the needs of every child with retinoblastoma, every survivor, and their family are met. With your help, we are creating a bright future for all affected by childhood eye cancer, and with your help, we will reach a day when no one suffers needlessly because of this highly curable cancer.
