The following is a selection of resources that we think may be valuable to you. We hope this directory will grow in time to include resources in many countries.

Provides information, support groups, patient link up, summer camp programmes for children with cancer, equipment, help with hospital transport and accommodation near treatment centres, The information on this site can also be accessed in Spanish.
The world’s largest volunteer funded cancer research foundation. Provides information on recent research and developments, and a list of affiliated clinical cancer centres and research institutes in the UK. Also provides emotional and practical support to those affected by cancer.
Provides information, support groups, patient/family link up, summer camps for children with cancer, short-term emergency financial assistance with treatment costs, help with hospital transport and accommodation near treatment facilities.
Clinical Trials Register at the National Institute of Health (US)
A comprehensive searchable database of clinical trials being conducted in the US and around the world. Most medical journals require that clinical trials being reported are registered here.
Institute of Cancer Research – London (UK)
Provides information, educational resources and up-to-date reviews of ongoing research.
Irish Cancer Society (Ireland)
Provides information and support for people dealing with cancer across Ireland. Maintains a confidential FreeFone Cancer Helpline, which is staffed by fully qualified nurses trained in cancer care. Also provides help with home care nursing.
Up-to-date information, practical advice and support to patients, families and professionals. All publications available online and in print. Maintains a national telephone information service staffed by qualified oncology nurses.
National Cancer Research Institute (UK)
A wealth of information on current and completed cancer research.
National Cancer Institute (US)
Funds and conducts cancer research. Also maintains PDQ (Physician Data Query), a database containing the latest information about cancer treatment, screening, prevention, genetics, supportive care and clinical trials.
National Institute for Care Excellence (UK)
Part of the NHS. Provides guidance for healthcare professionals, patients and carers, to inform decisions about treatment and healthcare.
Cancer Focus (Northern Ireland)
Provides an information and resource centre, public and professional education, a cancer helpline, rehabilitation programmes and support groups for patients and relatives dealing with cancer in Northern Ireland.
