Ho0wever, patient needs are coordinated with scheduled business flights, so the service may not be available when the patient needs to travel.
Provides free air travel to medical facilities for non-emergency treatment and diagnostic tests not available in the recipient’s local vicinity. Provides online and telephone information about all forms of charitable, long-distance medical air transport and makes referrals to appropriate sources of help available within the national charitable medical air transportation network. The helpline number is: 1-800-296-1217. It is staffed Mon-Fri, 9am to 5pm (Eastern Time). After hours help is available within 10 minutes of leaving an after-hours message marked Urgent.
